Because I'm worth it

I work my ass off every single day.  I deserve to be proud of the things I've accomplished.  It is absolutely true that you reap what you sow, & I deserve all the good things that are coming my way.  I've earned them all - several times over.  I will not feel guilty about the good things in my life.

...and that's what I'm going to start telling myself the next time some ungrateful, undeserving A-hole tries to make me feel any differently.

  1. You should be proud of this new job and all of the wonderful things it will bring! Screw 'em! :)

  2. i'm not sure what you're talking about, but never let awful people bring you down. It took me a long time to learn that. I was a newspaper editorialist for many years and there were a few people who would climb out from underneath their rock to rain down the vitriol and just uncalled for hatred on me. And you just can't listen. Most people who do that are bitter and jealous and just hate that someone else is soaring. So... I hope I'm not like talking about your mom or anything. But, whomever it is, keep up the good mantra and ignore the haters...unless it's your mom.
